I can convert your British-isms to American-isms if you so desire. The same goes for checking Canadian, Australian / New Zealander, and South African variations, though I may just highlight the terms if I don’t know the proper replacement.

If you’re in need of someone to insert all of those punctuation marks and paragraph breaks into your Dragon-created or StT manuscript, look no further. I will turn that wall of text into a proper manuscript.

· keeping track of nicknames and code names you use for Dragon

Proofreading is like applying a finish to a piece of fine art. The point is to remove any errors that could distract the reader from appreciating your work. This is the final step you would take before publishing. Manuscripts MUST be edited prior to submission.

This service includes:
· correcting typos and other mistakes like word repetition or omission
· correcting spelling and standard capitalization
· identifying basic grammatical problems
· fixing incorrect punctuation
· identifying macro formatting issues

Line Editing

Rate: 0.02 – .035 / word, with a minimum of $200 per manuscript
Time estimate: 7k words / day
Genres accepted: Some – see below

NOTE: Accepting this job is contingent upon review and/or consultation via email.

Line editing is the most thorough type of editing: not only am I going to through your manuscript line by line for the usual issues, I am going to make sure each sentence works in context with the rest of the story. Depending on what’s needed, my revised copy of the text may move or remove sections of the text and rephrase whole sentences if needed to make the story flow cohesively.

Since experience in the respective sub-genre is critical to doing the best job I can, I have limited the types of manuscripts I will accept for line editing at this time.

· fantasy (all sub-genres)
· horror (all sub-genres)
· cozy / paranormal mystery
· romance (most sub-genres: I’m open to editing everything, but I don’t have much experience with Westerns or Mpreg, so fair warning)
· historical fiction (Greco-Roman, Medieval European, Renaissance, Georgian / American Revolution, Regency)
· business nonfiction (self-help, how-to guides, etc.)

This service includes:
· extensive revision of problematic sections of text
· word choice modification
· correcting typos and other mistakes like word repetition or omission
· correcting spelling and standard capitalization
· identifying grammatical problems and offering suggestions, such as rephrasing a sentence
· fixing incorrect punctuation
· identifying macro and micro formatting issues
· checking for consistency in name spellings, hyphen usage, capitalization of your terminology
· developing a basic story reference with names, places, important objects, plus their basic descriptions
· noting major and minor changes in style or pacing

Content / Developmental Editing

Rate: 0.03 – 0.045 / word, with a minimum of $300 per manuscript
Time estimate: 5k words / day
Genres accepted: Some – see below

NOTE: Accepting this job is contingent upon review and/or consultation via email.

As a content editor, I am focused on the story: character development, genre tropes, story arc, plot structure, writing style, pacing, and objective within a book series arc. I will provide you with suggestions on how to hit the right story beats and plot points at the right time, an analysis of whether your story fits genre expectations, how you can hit genre tropes harder, and how to make your characters more endearing to the reader.

Content editing does not address grammar, spelling, typos, punctuation, syntax, or formatting.
